Chuck and Seal Assembly for Glass Reactors

Our Chuck and Seal Assembly is designed for leak-proof stirring in glass process reactors under vacuum or pressure conditions, even in highly corrosive environments. Only PTFE and Borosilicate Glass are exposed to process fluids, ensuring full chemical resistance — ideal for pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, and bulk drug manufacturing.

Bellow seal can be used under vacuum down to 10mm Hg absolute. Mechanical seal can be use under vacuum 1mm Hg absolute or under pressure permitted into glass vessels. A reducer adapter is generally required to connect the chuck and seal unit to the top flange or neck of the glass reactor. This ensures proper alignment and secure mounting of the stirring shaft with the drive system.

FAQs

Q1: What is an overhead stirrer used for?
A: Overhead stirrers are ideal for high-viscosity liquids and large volume mixing in reactors.

Q2: What is the difference between magnetic and overhead stirrers?
A: Magnetic stirrers are best for small volumes and gentle mixing. Overhead stirrers handle higher torque and are better for viscous or reactive fluids.

Q3: Are your stirrers compatible with PTFE-lined vessels?
A: Yes, we offer fully compatible stirrers and sealing assemblies for PTFE-lined systems.
